Post 3 >> Academic challenges in 2022

Hello! Today, I am going to talk about what I think about my career. I study Biochemistry. This career ends at the 5 years and 6 months! However, I think this is a short time because we study many things like proteins, clinical laboratory, industrial area and environment.

In my opinion, I like as the Universidad de Chile organized the workload. Our workload is 45 hours a week. It is similar to the workload of employee and I think that this prepares us for the future.

On the other hand, each semester we have one experimental laboratory and I think that is great too because that helps us to focus on one topic at a time but the experimental laboratories about our career are at the end of time of career so that if we are a little impatient we can apply for "formative internships" and are with true scientist!  This experience no only benefits us for give us more knowning, also it helps us to advance faster in the university! But that depend of each case. For this, I think that our professional practice is very late in comparison with Chemistry and Pharmacy (it is from the same faculty!).

The Universidad de Chile has the laboratories that we need, and these are well conditioned. Here there is a good internet connection, green areas to relax, a library and the teachers have a great disposition to teach us and clarify our doubts. They give us many material for study and the best is that material is easy to understand.
